Our Story

Over the years Strada has become a destination for shoe lovers from around the world.  Established with the belief that you deserve to feel as good as you look, we've become the Valley's go-to for comfortable shoes for work and travel. 

100% of our sales team is knowledgeable, experienced and passionate about shoes because they are also our buyers!  We travel throughout New England, Europe, Portugal and Spain to learn first hand where the shoes are made, the quality of the materials, and the benefits to the wearer. We carry several well known brands (Naot, Wolky, Taos, Miz Mooz, etc.) as well as smaller brands.  Our customers appreciate our curated collection of classic comfort styles sitting along side brands usually found only in Europe.

A family-owned small business since 1994, our entire team has ownership presence, a passion for footwear, and decades of experience. The journey to finding the perfect shoe usually begins by letting us know what styles you like, so that we can offer our suggestions about the best fit for your foot.  If you can't make it to Northampton, please enjoy our online shop.  Handmade footwear can differ in fit and size, so if have questions about an online purchase please contact us for a remote consultation.

Originally located in Thornes, in 2017 Strada expanded to our current location at 108 Main Street and added women's apparel to compliment our footwear. Our prices reflect MSRP with the added value of personal service and our 30+ years of shoe-fitting experience. Strada is also proudly 100% minority owned and operated.
